We would be thrilled to host your program at Mandala Ojochal and to support you in creating an unforgettable experience for you and your participants. Mandala Ojochal can accommodate both small and large groups of 10 to 65. (37 for double occupancy, 51 for couples retreats, or 65 for full buyouts).
Mandala Ojochal is dedicated to hosting a full retreat experience for programs focused on yoga, meditation, holistic health, personal growth, sustainability, and other transformative practices.
Depending on the size of your group, you will reserve a specific number of rooms for the dates of your retreat or program. We offer 8 different types of accommodations, allowing your guests to choose based on their preferences and budget. Rates vary according to the season.
The group rental rate for room and board includes access to yoga shalas and a classroom equipped with A/V, yoga props, and other available materials. You will market your program as a package price (including program fees/tuition plus room and board). Mandala handles all bookings using our Retreat.Guru booking platform and handles all payments from your clients. We then release your deposit back to you once certain criteria are met and we release your program fees/tuition earnings to you at the conclusion of the retreat.
We handle all logistics for shuttle transfers between San José International Airport and Mandala Ojochal, billing your participants directly for this service—allowing you to focus on your retreat without the hassle.

What types of retreats does Mandala Ojochal host?
Mandala Ojochal welcomes a wide range of programs such as women’s retreats, yoga teacher trainings, corporate wellness, continuing education trainings for mental health, medical, beauty and bodywork practitioners, yoga and meditation, personal growth, somatic work, leadership, couples retreats, fitness, breathwork, and other transformative practices. How many guests can my retreat accommodate?
We support groups of 10 to 50 participants depending on your room configuration. Our flexible accommodation options, shared and private, allow us to support a range of group sizes, retreat styles, and pricing structures. Mandala works with retreat leaders to customize accommodations, reducing the risk for retreat leaders with options for a more intimate private room block, as well as partial and full property buyouts.
Can I have exclusive use of the property?
Yes. Partial and full resort buyouts are available for leaders seeking a fully private experience. For smaller groups, Mandala is thoughtfully designed to host 2 midsize or 3 smaller events simultaneously while preserving the integrity and flow of each group, with dedicated shalas, distributed spaces, and careful scheduling to ensure every retreat feels like its own world.
What is included in the retreat rate?
Retreat rates include shared accommodations, three daily farm-to-table meals, resort fee, and access to yoga shalas and our air-conditioned workshop space equipped with A/V, yoga props, and available materials. How does the booking and payment process work?
Once your dates are confirmed and a contract is signed, a 10% deposit secures your retreat. From there, payments are structured across the lead-up to your arrival date. Mandala handles is able to process guest bookings and manage all payments from your participants directly, releasing deposits and program profit at the appropriate stages. What support does Mandala provide retreat leaders?
Our 5-stage retreat planning process guides you from initial concept through post-retreat integration. We support you in structuring your offering, setting up a live registration page, co-marketing your retreat on social media and through our website, customizing your program with excursions and wellness add-ons, coordinating all on-site logistics, and providing a detailed financial wrap-up after your retreat concludes.
Do retreat leaders receive any complimentary accommodations?
Yes. Groups of 10 or more participants receive one complimentary room for a retreat leader. This scales with group size: two comped rooms for 20 or more guests, and three for groups of 21 to 30 and beyond.
How do guests get to Mandala Ojochal?
The Mandala Retreat Team coordinates all round trip ground and air transportation to and from San José International Airport (SJO) and/or Quepos Domestic Airport. We also partner with a local charter flight company for exclusive 12-passenger planes. Simply provide your guests’ flight itineraries to your retreat coordinator at least two weeks prior to arrival and we take care of the rest.Group ground transportation is included in retreat quotes and participants may upgrade to domestic or charter flights to Quepos.
What yoga and workshop spaces are available?
Mandala offers four distinct spaces: the soaring Vista and Mandala open-air bamboo shalas for larger group sessions, the serene air-conditioned indoor Ceiba shala ideal for workshops and presentations, and our intimate Petit shala for private sessions, massages or smaller groups of 10-12. Retreat groups are assigned a dedicated yoga shala as a home base during their retreat. Yoga shala use is available between 7:00AM 8:00PM with more expressive workshops and events coordinated in the indoor workshop space.
Can I customize my retreat program?
Absolutely. Add-ons include waterfall and wildlife excursions, beach experiences, surf instruction, cacao ceremonies, sound healing, breathwork, local botanical workshops, massage and bodywork packages, retreat marketing and photography services. Your retreat coordinator will work with you to finalize all customizations.
When can I begin promoting my retreat?
Promotion may begin as soon as Mandala receives your signed contract and 10% deposit. At that point, we provide a digital media kit including images for use in your marketing.
